Volunteer at TAC
The Thornapple Arts Council (TAC) has a long tradition of support from volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to meet new and interesting people, learn more about art and culture, and support the Thornapple Arts Council.
Program Volunteers work independently and in committees on special projects with the Committee Chairs and the Executive Director. We currently need program volunteers to help with Jazz Festival, Spring Symphony Concert, and special educational workshops/programs.
Special Events Volunteers work independently and in Committees with the Executive Director on fundraising events. We currently need volunteers for the Annual Art Auction, our Wine-tasting Fundraiser, and other special events.
Facility Volunteers work independently on assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the indoor and outdoor facilities of the TAC. We currently need volunteers for cleaning the interior of the TAC facility, maintaining the gardens on the grounds of the TAC, and special projects as needed. Qualifications: Gardening, basic repair or cleaning skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Office Support Volunteers assist with the upkeep of the Thornapple Arts Council offices which may include answering the TAC phone, filing, and organization. Qualifications: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently with little supervision. Mailing Support Volunteers help with membership mailings and other event and program mailings. Qualifications: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently or with a group.
