Putnam District LibraryIn honor of Putnam District Library’s 90th  anniversary, the Friends of Putnam District Library (FOPDL) is hosting this event at the annual Car Show in Nashville on June 15, 2013. We are looking for area artists to paint a chair for this event.

They will be displayed on the lawn of Putnam District Library during the car show and sold through a silent auction. We are looking for a variety of types of chairs and painting styles.

  • The artists may choose to provide their own chair or the FOPDL will provide the chair
    upon request.
  • The chairs will be due back to Putnam District Library by May 1st so the FOPDL
may garner interest in the silent auction through local publicity outlets.
  • The FOPDL will request a 3×5 card filled out with the name of the artist and an
explanation of the inspiration for the piece. (Any marketing materials the artist would
like to display with their painted chair will be accepted with their donation.)

To participate, contact: Angie Walker, Painted Chair Committee Organizer
